Do you try and read Biblical reference books and come across words, you have heard, but do not know the exact definition? Have you ever come across the word Exegesis and said what? Well now I know that it helps us understand God’s Word as we try to determine what the Biblical text is saying.
Well, this little Pamphlet has concise definitions that are simple to understand. They even list scripture verses where you can find the word used in the Bible.
As always the pamphlet has full color illustrations throughout and it has clear easy to read print. The pamphlet is compact and thin enough to carry with you in your bible cover or inside the flap of you Bible.

Has this ever happened to you? You are speaking to a friend about Christ and you tell him how and when you got saved? The friend looks at you and asks What does that mean, saved? Can you give an adequate explanation to your inquiring friend?
What you’ll find in the 100 Words Every Christian should know is an instant seminary course neatly bundled into clear and concise definitions for words used in the Church, in Scripture and by Christian men and woman that are foreign to unbelievers and often misunderstood or not properly defined by Christians and non-Christians.
Why this pamphlet is important
There is much misunderstanding of words and their meanings both inside the Church and outside is walls. For instance, take the word hypocrite, how often have you heard others call Christians Hypocrites? For most of us, we’ve heard it many times. The 100 Words book will prepare you with answers.
A non-believer will toss this word at us will protest that we are people who say one thing and do the opposite. Of course, if a Christian does that it is a poor Christian testimony, but does not make one a hypocrite.
The word means “play-acting.” If you go to the mini-book, the definition for hypocrite also directs you to scripture verse—in this case to Matthew 6. There you see how Jesus used the word and used it in an accusing way toward the Pharisees. This gives you greater insight into the meaning of the word, and you get to see the word in action.
The Pattern
Here is the pattern throughout the 100 words. Each word is clearly and concisely defined. Some words contain more than one definition. Each definition includes one or more scripture references.
It is our duty as Christians to “give an answer to the hope that is in us (1 Peter 35). This book is a quick reference to help you respond to questions about our Christian and biblical lingo, and it points you to scripture references that support the definitions.
What I like about this Mini-book
• It is compact and easy to use as a handout.
• It provides an easy way to learn the meanings of words associated with our Christian faith.
• It makes for a fantastic witnessing tool because it can arouse the curiosity of non-believers and might encourage them to go deeper and examine many words.
• You could use it to start a “Word-Think” group and open topical discussions one word at a time
• A booklet is a tool you can use to begin to delve into important words and doing in-depth Bible study to broaden your understanding.
What are the drawbacks?
I don’t find any grand drawbacks. However, If you’re looking for deeper study and more references, you won’t find that in this book—but it can be used to lead you to want to go deep.
Although you might use this booklet as a witnessing tool, I think you need to start a conversation and point inquiring minds to precise definitions and show them how and where to look for the scriptural references that support the definitions.
In short, I give this very useful tool a thumbs-up and five stars. Use the 100 words as a resource for personal study, for study groups and as a witnessing tool that can open a dialogue with non-believers.

Some words could have been replaced by others. Could do without "accepted "' "guilt" and some others In lue of more specific Biblical words and their meanings. Not bad, though.
